This course covers the basic principles on the analysis and design of feedback control systems. The concept of st ability, robustness, and
performance will be introduced. Control system analysis and design techniques including root-locus,
frequency domain and state-space methods will be presented in detail. Particular emphasis will be placed on modern computer-aided modeling, analysis and design tools such as MATLAB and Simulink. The focus of the course will be on lumped linear time invariant systems, but systems with time delays and nonlinearities will also be considered.
- Monday November 12: Meet in CII 8218 for the robotics lab demo and
tour (given by John Wason)
